It’s all about those perforations 🕳️ 🕳️ 🕳️ that’s why it’s called Hypericum PERFORATUM!

Was so happy to find a vibrant little patch of St. John’s Wort volunteering in the garden today!

Of course if this plant was in flower it would be easy to recognize (☀️☀️☀️), but it’s important to be able to identify your herbal allies in all the forms they take throughout the wheel of the year.

This one is easy: pluck a leaf, hold it up to the sun, if you see all the pinpricks of light shining through you have the “holiest” of leaves: St. John’s Wort!
